♦ Méd. Suppuration osseuse qui se produit au-dessous du périoste avec inflammation des tissus voisins. || Ostéophlegmon du maxillaire.

0 (La) collection suppurée, profondément incluse dans l'os (…) se fraie un passage dans l'os. C'est l'ostéophlegmon.

Un abcès dentaire est un léger ostéophlegmon.
